Founded in 1951 in Como, Roncoroni is a leading company in the paper transformation sector specialized in the production of special lamination and extrusion coating for the packaging and insulation sectors. Extrusion-coating (polythene), waxing and coating with vinyl or solvent-free glues and with VCI powders: these are the processes that allow Roncoroni to work and coat papers, cardboards, aluminium sheets, plastic films (PET, PP, BOPP, LDPE and HDPE), polythene raffia, TNT and natural fabrics in order to produce high quality materials that can be used in the packaging (industrial, metal and food) and insulation industries, in overseas transport, in the automotive and in the medical sectors and also in the bookbinding and textile industries.

In 2012 Roncoroni expressed the need to improve the data collection system, by digitizing the production line and data return and creating an instant connection between all departments.

activity

The team first realised the digitalisation in all company departments.
Subsequently, they implemented solutions that made data collection and the introduction of processes to allow the machines to communicate with each other.

Finally, the digitalization of the production line has effectively connected all the various departments.
